Native Waves Radio joined the CFUV 101.9fm radio family in February 2007. Mohawk host Janet Rogers acknowledges the traditional lands of the Songhees and Esquimalt people on which she is a visitor and from where Native Waves Radio is broadcast from.

Native Waves Radio celebrates Indigenous arts, in both traditional and contemporary forms. The Indigenous music scene is constantly burgeoning with new sounds and new artists in parallel with the ever awakening consciousness of Indigenous peoples.

Native Waves Radio strives to connect all Indigenous listeners, communities and their allies through the (free) spirit of the airwaves.
